Ok so I’m a bad stutterer. You probably can’t tell on the phone or zoom, something about that relaxes me. But if I have to give a short presentation at work I am the ultimate mess. It gives me panic attacks, I need my boss to fill in for me. Nobody is rude about it but my watch goes off because my pulse is through the roof, I can’t formulate any thoughts cohesively much less not stutter. My hard A’s get to me. Xanax helps a bit, and breathing/relaxing probably would if I was actually able to do either. I think because on the phone it’s 1 on 1 it’s less pressure, and I know if I get into a rut it can just sound like silence or the phone cut out (in my head at least) but when you are in person and the room is looking at you. Wish for death.
