When you stutter do you have facical grimances or head movements? Yesterday was International Stuttering Awareness Day, so for the organization that I'm in, NSSLHA, invited someone who stutters to talk about her experience. When she spoke her head would nod and her eyes would blink rapidly. There was also a professor who came with her who had these same behaviors as he spoke. I'm a person who stutters and the only other person I know who stutters is my father. However, we don't have facial grimances or head movements when we stutter. I asked my parents if I ever did have these behaviors as a kid and I did not. Apparently, I just looked like I was constipated all the time. I don't know if it's common or not. Is it?
