I can understand your pain, it happens to me when I have to introduce myself and the feeling that now i am the center of attention it makes me super nervous, like my name is 'Rohit', as i try to speak my throat shuts and the only thing comes out is air for a good 8 to 10 seconds. This feeling that now the person is judging me based on my verbal fluency rather than my metal capability makes me to just kms. To cope with this, I have accepted myself as a stutter, whenever there is an interview or social event i just state myself bieng a stutter it removes a massive weight of anxiety and i feel relaxed.
