It only impacts your choice of career if you let it. My grandfather was a severe stutterer (I am too) and was held back in school because it was thought stuttering equals stupidity. He had a very pessimistic attitude towards stuttering and would start fights with anyone. A speech therapist changed his life so he went to school to be a speech therapist and became a tenured professor at a university. I also know a doctor who stutters. My point is it doesn't matter what job you have or get but you shouldn't let stuttering dictate that. I would also recommend looking at the stuttering foundation website (stutteringhelp.org).
