Continued capitalisation on stuttering words in novels

Continued capitalisation on stuttering words in novels I know this isn't r/writing but I'd much rather hear the opinions of fellow stutterers on this. With writing a novel, at times when a character ends up stuttering, do you prefer the author writing it as "Y-y-y-you..." OR "Y-Y-Y-You..."? The reason I ask of this is that when we stutter, I'd like to think that people should just adapt to tune it out and know we're trying our best to say the word in full to ignore the fact that it was carried on from our stutter. I'm open to hearing different thoughts on this as it's hard for me to decide on what's the best course of action here or if either options doesn't really matter to you personally? Hope I make sense here!
