I'm currently a warehouse manager but I've been really interested in pursuing a career in IT and this is the one thing that's kind of holding me back from pursuing it. I already feel I come across as an idiot as a manager and can't imagine having to speak on the phone. Just out of curiosity OP, does your boss/manager give you any signs that he/she thinks you lack knowledge? I ask because I've been told that it looks much worse in my head than it does from the outside. I think as stutterers we tend to have much higher bars than a lot of other people, whether it be regarding speech or other things.
