Bilingual + Stuttering Hey everybody! Growing up I had a severe stutter that persisted into adolescence. I went through 10+ years of speech therapy to get to where I am today where I can say I am about 98% fluent in English. However, when I try speaking Vietnamese my stuttering is so bad that it's like I never went to speech therapy. Culturally, my family was not supportive about my stuttering and resorted to blame and shame. I wonder if it's more of a PTSD symptom that gets triggered when I try to speak Vietnamese and the associated shame with it. I'm curious how are my multilingual folks faring and if anyone has similar experiences in being speech fluent in one versus the other.
