Some people might not advise this, but this is something I did. At the start of each year, I emailed all my teachers and let them know of my stutter. Many teachers let me opt out of presentations. They would just have me do something else for the points. But one teacher, did not care and still made me do what the other kids had to do. I understand it. But she made it a point to call on me as often as she could. It was frustrating and stressful. I was happy to finally leave her class. I just want you to know. I graduated high school and college and I have a job. I am married to a wonderful man. My brother has a more severe stutter than I do and he graduated high school, has a great job, a wife, and children. Also lots of great friends. I know there may not be much I could say to make you feel better, but I can tell you it won’t be like this forever. There are people in this world who won’t care that you stutter and will love you for you. Sometimes they are just hard to find!
