Is it possibke for this method to work?

Is it possibke for this method to work? I read some of Lee lovet's book about stopping stuttering and he said that the best way to stop stuttering is not creating any stuttering memories and replacing them with fluent speech memories. It means that you should talk as much as possible without stuttering (like with yourself if you dont stutter Talking to yourself) and you should avoid stuttering at all cost, like not saying something which you may stutter on. Will it work, has anyone tried this?
