I’ve stuttered all my life and have just graduated from my Kindergarten/Primary School degree, and have just started working in a school. I always had doubt that I wouldn’t even be able to go to uni, let alone teach, but I persisted. Some advice I found helpful was to let your mentor teachers know and even ask them how you would go about addressing the stutter in class such as how to respond if children bring it up and using technology to assist you. I chose to disclose it to the children in a very casual and accepting way. I personally found this helpful as it took a lot of pressure off. If you’re passionate for it, go for it.
