Its less a stutter and more a challenge to come up with words I know that you could depict the where i'm going at just from reading the title, but let me explain. For the past few years I've had a mild/moderate case of stuttering. I haven't sought out any professional help and I have only talked about it to friends but I haven't got the courage to bring it up to my parents or any adults in general. Well, yes, I have a stutter, but that's not where i'm trying to get at right now issue. Its more of coming up with words to say in a sentence even when taking in account the certain sounds I may have trouble spitting out. I've grown up speaking English and its not like I haven't taken any English classes throughout years of school but this seems to be the last block before I can finally make myself believe that my times of stuttering are over. Maybe if i just put myself in situations in public in a place where i'm not as used to my surroundings, or even just stepping up more at school to simply answer a question. With the help of people supporting me over the past year I have embraced my stutter and it has gotten a little bit better day by day. Now to get to the point, I most have trouble at the beginning of words and phrases just spitting out that W sound or H sound from either the back of my throat to the tip of my lips. Then from there it is just the trouble of coming up with a good sentence and then having replies to what they will say back. Does anyone have advice on simply practicing a rebuttal in these types of situations? Any help would be appreciated.
