If you’re anxious it’s going to be hard to be present. If you’re anxious and a stutterer you’re most likely going to be thinking about trying not to stutter and most likely stutter more. I agree but I think it is the step before being able to focus on the person and interaction. Habitually, stutterers think about stuttering in conversations.
