I remember watching a video yesterday with the caption “ok, but did she stutter?!”, and there was hostility in the comments surrounding the phrase. Mainly one person saying it was ableist and others saying that is “wasn’t a big deal”, “we’re being snowflakes”, and that we’re “trying so hard to be oppressed”. That’s actually what made me post this poll in the first place. I didn’t like a lot of non-educated people talking about the struggles and hardships that stutterers have to go through. It was really weird to see the lack of understanding and support for people with the condition.
