I can attest to this. I'm a stutterer in a highly technical leadership position, much of my day is spent communicating abstract concepts and teaching. I have to talk so much during the day my voice is audibly tired at the end of the day. I still stutter. I've learned to be patient with myself and I think this has led to my being more patient when teaching. I routinely get complimented on explaining things simply and taking the time to make sure people get it. After a while the things that challenge us end up enabling us in other ways. It's important to do what we can to accept ourselves. You'll make it through, and you'll be a better you for having had the struggle.
