I definitely had low confidence when I was younger and was a clingy bad boyfriend to the few girls nice enough to date me haha My stutter was a lot more sever when I was younger but I never found it to be an issue, I always made sure I appeared to be OK with myself even when I wasn't, most people are accepting of you if you are accepting of yourself, but I've never been a guy who girls instantly were into. I've always been a guy people give a shot after they've know me a few months haha I guess that means I'm an OK dude haha. My wife is the only girl who agreed to a date the first night I met her but even she already knew who I was through mutual friends.
