I am glad that you enjoy conversing about this with me, for one thing. Another thing that I am immediately interested in the instant I saw your response is that, since the character is based on Native American/Inuit culture, how do they view speech differences and stuttering and which characteristics do they value in leaders? For example, my own thoughts about this topic are informed by my own personal experiences and the intersections between the culture I am from (I am Jewish), my education (very standard and traditional mixture of religious education and a classical education), and the country I received my education in (the UK). All three of these have slightly different views on stuttering or physical differences. For example, Moses is famously considered to have been reluctant to lead the Jews out of Egypt due to his “slow tongue” and “slowness of speech”, a lot of Greco-Roman thoughts on the matter can be surmised by viewing them through the lens of Physiognomy (you can judge a person by what is on the outside, especially by the face), and, in the UK, it is largely avoided to say anything directly but privately every minute detail is judged and the way people speak is a massive socio-economic indicator. I would imagine from my very limited knowledge of Native American culture that they may well have had an entirely different view to any of these (and I would imagine that this is a research consideration for psychologists and speech pathologists in North America).
