It definitely gets better! I've stuttered ever since I was about 10, I'm now going on 30 and have been manager of a call center, countless customer facing jobs, and now speak over a general radio on a mine site (Open mic to about 100 people) Try not be too hard on yourself. With time you'll learn your own triggers and ways around them. I personally took a job working with customers specifically to try get over my issues with my stutter and it helped out amazingly. You won't necessarily get rid of your stutter, I still do, but you'll feel more comfortable with it. You'd be surprised how little people actually care about a stutter out in the world.
