According to google: >"Transcranial Direct-Current Stimulation (tDCS) is a portable, wearable brain stimulation technique that delivers a low electric current to the scalp. A fixed current between 1 and 2 mA is typically applied1. tDCS works by applying a positive (anodal) or negative (cathodal) current via electrodes to an area." My opinion: I personally am opposed to medication or devices in general. In my opinion, even if electric pulses from the machine leads to less stuttering, then when I stop using the machine I still have the same perception towards triggers like feared letters. I never learned to change my perception and thus stuttering will likely persevere in my opinion. I think the conclusion of the research is: >"Even though we found no significant effects of a single session of TDCS on speech fluency in people who stutter..." Does anyone have experience with the machine?
