Hmmm, this is a very interesting topic. I've stuttered all my life. It was terrible during high school and got a bit better in college. I've learned techniques on how to lessen the frequency of my stuttering. I know my trigger words and typically try to avoid those words when I can. Many people say I don't stutter but it's something constantly in my mind and is worked on daily. So, although, I agree with your frustration, I believe everyone has their own internal battles. One shouldn't dismiss their admission when we don't really know their pain. When I hear someone say they stutter, I hear "I struggle with speaking, therefore, I understand the pain of communicating clearly."
