I think I’m a kinder, more accepting person because of it. I also wouldn’t have found my chosen career without it (SLP). I work with a lot of preschoolers on the autism spectrum. I find that I don’t get upset with their behaviors because I can understand how frustrating it can be to not be able to communicate with others.
