I know it feels that way. I'm not a stuttering person, but my son is. He's 12. He's got his own long road ahead of him. The embarrassment sucks, and it's totally unavoidable. I've gone in to meet the teacher nights with him and championed for him. Oddly the teachers that are the most receptive to the discussion seem to be the ones he had the worst experiences with by the end of the semester. The world is flawed. But it's getting better. We're in a time of super culture progression. It's definitely changing people's acceptance. I also work with a PWS. He's got a job as a webmaster in a VPS hosting company (so they host websites, email packages, domain registrations). He's a very savvy guy and has got me out of a bind more than a few times with clients. Sorry you're struggling. I empathize with your pain. I didn't until my son showed me.
