But you don’t stutter now? That sounds like a developmental stutter. Which is, I believe more common than a brain defect which causes life long stuttering. Which I have. I went to speech therapy in middle school with people with lisps too. I appreciate the gesture of creating a safe space, but I’m comfortable enough in my own skin that I don’t need someone to offer a safe space I guess. I just want to be treated like I don’t even stutter. Like I’m a human being who wants to communicate and tries and I’m just slower at getting my point across. I know people do it in a kind hearted way, but I personally don’t need that validation. Just treat me normal!! I appreciate you sharing your perspective :). I’m late to the party on my own post haha.
