Emailing professor about alternatives to class presentations in college

Emailing professor about alternatives to class presentations in college I have a presentation coming up soon and I was wondering if it was okay to ask the professor if I could do a one on one presentation with him, rather than having to present to the whole class as I stutter through every sentence and it's gonna be a pretty awkward presentation. Have any of you emailed your professor to have a one on one presentation instead of a class presentation?
