Imo it will be significantly harder if you fail to position yourself correctly, in other words if you overestimate your speaking capability. The truth is, we are verbally crippled. So if you are not the type of stutterer with mild to slight level of stuttering, life would be easier in choosing a more silent and back-end career like documentation, researchers bla bla bla. I can't imagine myself being a speaker/lecturer that demands constant speaking, or a law enforcers heavily relying on speech to defuse high tension situation. We must know our place, else pain will loop itself until we learn.
