It's kind of a long story, but a friend of mine was a journalism major and talked me into it. I got really involved in going and "covering" some protests in the capital of my state. He told me that's what I would be doing in journalism, so I picked it up. Realized I didn't really like reporting, so I switched to visual communications in journalism (spread and inforgraphic design). Now I'm a communications manager straight out of college.
