This is tough. I have a lot of empathy for you even though I can't fully put myself in your situation. I can imagine the mental pain this caused. As hard as this is to realize.. you'll have to come to a point of acceptance and realizing that, that is in the past. Your future is a blank canvas and doesn't have to repeat itself. What are you doing to work on your speech so you won't have the same reaction next time?
