I totally agree with you 100. I said in another post stuttering is like the bastard child of disabilities. As in it's nearly forgotten about, I'm sure there is a cure, but with a cure comes how much money do we want to pay for that cure. Some greedy fucker or business probably does have a cure. They will give it to us for the price of our soul. Yes it could be worse, but modern medicine has found a way to come up with so much shit for other disabilities. Yet here we are in the dark asking ourselves. Will we ever be fluent? I have the same mindset you describe. Yet I still continue to fight for fluency knowing if I do my dreams I have could come true. It's a long shot, but it's hope that I have. People I feel don't really know how much depression, and or anxiety it does cause us.
