I work in a restaurant, and have been offered a server position, but I refuse to do it. I'm perfectly content working in the back doing dishes and all that. I'm the only person I know that stutters, and I'm sure most people I come across don't know anyone either. I'm sure if I were to be a server, I wouldn't have that much of a problem, but my anxiety is pretty bad. This probably didn't help you much, but just know that I can relate to your apprehension.
