People that I was NOT actively dating tried to flatter me by telling me my stuttering was cute, and it immediately killed any chance they would have had. Also you don't have to think that everything your partner does is "cute" by default. How one dimensional! Something that doesn't fall into the "cute" category could still be respected, or admired, or simply regarded as neutral.
