A trick to kickstart a phone conversation

A trick to kickstart a phone conversation Sometimes I have to do phone calling, it's inevitable. My trick is to record my first sentences ("Hi, my name is X, and I'm calling because..." "my ID number is...") on my computer and then play them when needed. It really helps with the flow of the conversation. Have you ever guys done something like this? I'm finding it quite useful, as questions are one of the things that block me the most.
