non traditional stuttering I am new to this subreddit but I wanted to share my experience with my stutter and ask if anyone else has this too? i’m sure anyone on here who stutters has heard the joke “t-t-t- today junior!” when struggling to get the words out. however, my stutter is actually never presented in this way. for example: instead of stuttering like the first example I gave, I will say “…..today” or “tooooooday”. does this make sense? I will be trying to say the word, but I often have to sit with it for sometimes 10 very long seconds before I am able to actually get it out. it can be at the beginning of the word, or the middle depending on what word I am saying. to give another example, this is usually how it would go when saying a sentence: “hhhi…um I haaave annnn appointment at ttten thhhhirty” I am from a small town with nobody else that stutters, so maybe this is more common than I think. i’d love to hear from you guys about your experiences
