>I know that it is not healthy. Damn right it's not healthy. Making alcohol part of a daily routine is a an extremely bad idea. Alcohol will likely have diminishing returns with regards to your fluency. 4 shots is enough to get you in trouble. It puts you above the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle. Alcohol impairs your judgment well before 4 shots. Alcohol takes its toll on you in so many other ways than shortened life span. Quality of life needs to be accounted for as well. I know two women who are both 50. One drank for 30 years, the other did not. You'd think once was 40 and the other 70. See a doctor. If your speech is anxiety related, maybe an anxiety medication will be a better fit for you. I always advocate for speech therapy. You have the ability to be fluent. You have a stuttering / fluency problem. Don't compound your problems by adding alcohol. Treat the first problem. Don't stack another problem on top. I know we're supposed to be supportive here, but considering alcohol as a treatment for stuttering is a colossally stupid idea.
