I'm 14 years old and I stutter I'm not a native English speaker. If you find any mistake in the text, please excuse me. Now let's begin. Found this subreddit this morning and just wanted to share you my situation. I have been stuttering for about 3-4 years ago and I have this difficulty whenever I try to have conversations with my friends. I can't talk too much because then I stutter. Same thing when I talk with strangers, I can't easily ask for things in a store or in a restaurant. I try to stay calm and talk but it doesn't work and feels bad when people stays watching you like: *what the fuck* I am those kind of people who likes to talk and have fun conversations but my stutter limits me to do this. I can't tell my friends any joke or an anecdote because the stutter appears and ruins everything. Sometimes people mock me, but I've learned to hold it. I don't have this issue when I have to read or do an exposition in front of my class. Doing that kind of stuff is pretty easy for me, but there are cases in which I use synonims to replace some words that I can't said. I don't know if this is important but I'm currently undergoing dental treatment. I have been with it around 3-4 years too, so I do not know if my stutter is caused because of this. I used to speak well before, I swear. When I was 6 or 8 I did not have this problem. I have no idea how the stutter originated.
