Job interviews really suck. I've been considering writing one of my congressmen about maybe trying to get some legislation through which would make it mandatory for employers to offer a job interview via a text chat as an option. I don't know, just as we wouldn't expect someone with a leg problem to run a race as fast as an able-bodied person why do we expect people who speak at like 33% the rate of the average person and often with visible struggle to compete on an even playing field with fluent speakers in what's really a verbal challenge?
