I am 34 and have had many ups and downs in my life, many embarrassing moments, some job opportunities lost bc of my stutter. We got dealt an unfair card. No one’s arguing that. That said, you’re probably going to continue to struggle with your mental health and whatever life throws at you if you can’t let some of it go. Yeah, you’re going to need to shrug off some moments. You’re too young to be bitter, which is what happens when you can’t learn to roll with the punches. Also re: your concern that your stutter will effect your career, it can absolutely be a help in the workplace. People value competence and confidence. They’re going to care more about the content of what you say than how you said it. And since stuttering is a legal disability, you can mark that you have a disability on a job app, which can also help you get hired.
