My husband stutters and so did his paternal grandma. Our son was stuttering but has been in speech therapy for a few years and it seems pretty much resolved. Interestingly, we recently found an old journal of my husband's maternal grandfather's where he references his uncle who "beat" stuttering and became a doctor. So seems to be all in the family over here.
