Realize it's not the end of the world. If you're scared of people looking at you like you're mentally handicapped, then explain to them what's happening. If they still look at you the same, then fuck 'em. They're morons. Good riddance. You're not unhireable because of a stutter. The vast majority of adult stutterers have jobs.
