You can do it. Do not give up hope. Extremely long time lurker. First time poster. I just wanted to share that I’ve been a stutterer since I was a child (M 28). I started my IT career about 5 years ago and it terrified me. Fast forward 5 years later and I was recently promoted the Head of IT for my organization. This means more phone calls, more meetings, more communication. This next sentence will likely terrify a lot of you but it shouldn’t. Next week I’m presenting my disaster recovery plan to our board of directors. If I can do it, you can too. Things I’ve found helpful. It’s ok to not know something and to ask for help, speaking slow, and a low/no sugar diet. Most importantly be at peace with yourself before you can be at peace with others. Cheers!
