I look at it in a “If they don’t mind, they’re good people”-mindset and I use the same filter across many aspects of my life be it friend circles, partner, career, etc People who judge us by our stutter aren’t worth spending time with anyways. The sooner we cut off such negative people from our lives, the better. People who care for who we are will definitely be willing to look past the stutter. That being said, we shouldn’t really use this as an “excuse” and stop trying to work on it. Sure, there will definitely be rough days and whatnot. Heck, in the past week, I spent 4 hours trying to record a 90 second video where I didn’t stutter at any point in time for a class assignment. There will be challenges and they will come often. But that in no way will mean that we can’t lead rich lives and have rich experiences.
