I recommend voluntarily stuttering. No need to disclose your stutter, unless you r r r really want to. T t t t talk in a slow/comfortable pace, project your voice, l-l-l-lightly but distinctly stutter in few words per sentence, and most importantly 'maintain eye contact'! Practice with store employees, like ask them where the baby d-d-d-diapers are, or if they have any green b-b-b-bananas. If you block, just take a pause and try to voluntarily stutter through the word you blocked on. Challenge yourself to hold the conversion for at least a minute, but no biggie if you cannot. Read above paragraph 3 more times, and try to apply it for the next 4 weeks. Taking real action is the most important piece of this puzzle. For a month or so, id spend few hours every week in various stores and chat with the employees or servers, and stutter my heart away. You'd be surprised how many people patiently listen to you and do their utmost to help you out once they realize you've speech impediment. Most stutterers are too afraid of stuttering and busy hiding it that they incorrectly assume other people are mocking them. I started enjoying the process at some point, and practically started initiating conversations with strangers on the street. I'd elongate my stutter even more to see how much discomfort i can handle. Once you start becoming immmune to your stuttering, you start thriving in uncomfortable situations, and sometimes even seeking them out. Try it and update us how it goes
