My progress as a stutterer (you CAN get better!)

My progress as a stutterer (you CAN get better!) The year was 2018. I was starting my freshman year. My stutter was so bad that I would literally take years to get sounds out. Talking in class was literally impossible, and even talking to family or close friends was awful. I was at the lowest point in my life because of my stutter. I wanted to die. Now it’s 2020. After putting myself out there for 2 years through class participation, ordering food face-to-face, and calling people on the phone, my stutter has diminished considerably. Yeah I still have my stutter of course, but it’s minimal due to the confidence I now have. Ordering a simple chicken sandwich meal from Dairy Queen, the first real experience of putting myself out there, was terrifying. I was sweating going up to the guy, and it’s like the floor was a treadmill, pushing me up towards the front. But I did it, and I lived. I’m telling you, that one experience literally TRANSFORMED my life. It can for you too through repetition.
