I lost my virginity at 16 because of social pressure. I hated it. I didn't have my first actual girlfriend until 28. Two very different things. I learned early on that I wanted nothing to do with hookups and spent a long time staying out of the drama that came with young relationships. Also, I'm tired of the notion that not having sex means you've "fallen behind" or accomplished nothing. Where is the correlation? I know several folks who have had more partners than me, but have done nothing with their lives. I'm finishing grad school and will likely be on track to make more money than all of them combined. Is that to be considered "falling behind"?
