Imagine if you hadn't felt those negative feelings of fear when you stuttered, what do you think would have happened? Not to sound condescending or anything, but in my opinion, that's where you could really have some interesting control :) For instance, if you had looked at her while it happened with an attitude like 'oh, that's silly haha', maybe you wouldn't feel like this now! But otherwise, these feelings, we've all felt them before, they're also part of the deal and maybe we need to experience them to realize that we often judge ourselves too harshly and negatively.
