Stress and excitement are the only things that make mine worse. Stress from work, meeting new people, having to say my name, repeating myself, speaking publicly, etc. Excitement when trying to share stories or jokes. ​ Conversely, alcohol, anger and breathing exercises/meditation are the things that improve it.
