I don't think that's a long term strategy because we're not robots. Psychology/mood/emotion can affect stuttering, like many other things can affect it, but it's not the lone switch. Most people's stuttering greatly reduces in the safety and comfort of a therapy office. If your plan is to maintain fluency by never getting upset and always feeling confident and happy I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
