I’ve struggled intensely with this as well, but hear me out. How do you know they are feeling disgust? When practicing for a zoom interview w my family, they pointed out that I was having facial expressions that read differently then what I was actually thinking. They’d ask a question that caused me to really think hard, and said I looked annoyed (I was just confused). For most of my life,I took great effort to try to hide my stutter, so, logically, how could I blame someone for being confused when something unexpected happened (I opened my mouth to talk and nothing came out?) I actually learned a few things and have had control of my talking for almost a year. This will be hard to hear/believe, but making eye contact gets me smoothly through 45%of my blocks. Elongating/enunciating gets me smoothly through another 45%.
