Have a job interview tomorrow, wish me luck. Have an interview tomorrow for a job in my dream career field. Been around this block before, feel reasonably confident with the kinds of questions I'll be asked and have a pretty decent pitch to make for myself. Still, I'm a bit nervous because of the setting I'll be walking into, and with making a good first impression. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic, but I've never bought the whole "stutter with confidence and it won't matter" thing. Obviously if you're a sniveling mess that's not helpful, and stuttering with confidence is probably making the best out of a bad situation. But that it doesn't matter; come on. I'm not the most socially adept person ever, but you can see the "what's wrong with you" in people's eyes if you're paying attention. Do you ever wonder how many jobs or relationships you've missed out on because of stuttering? It's probably not zero, but there are also probably a lot of cases where you weren't getting a response anyway. At a certain level it'd be nice to know which was which. Anyway I'm just rambling/venting now, sorry. Got to man up, give it my best shot odds be damned, and keep at it until I get an offer. Sample as. Life is hard, but so are most good things. Go out and live it the best you can.
