Yes, the biggest triggers for me are stress, extreme humidity or extremely dry air, dust, bed bugs, and wrong food. I sleep with cotton gloves; they offer solid protection against bed bugs and scratching while asleep, and I use only the purest creams in order to keep my hands moisturized. But a change in diet was the key to keeping my atopic dermatitis under control. Spicy food was the worst, so no more chili peppers or even spring onions. I drink only homemade juices and red wine, I avoid sugar and use honey as much as possible, I've replaced coffee with tea, etc. Basically, I eat all kinds of fresh or locally smoked meat, a salad with every meal, and a large bowl of fruit for dinner. Some fruits and veggies should be avoided as well, like tomatoes (the most common), strawberries, beans, eggplant, but I still eat them sometimes. Fermented veggies are the best for the skin, so I eat a lot of sauerkraut and pickles. You can ferment it yourself without preservatives or vinegar. I also use some food supplements like fish oil, black cumin oil, vitamin C, and D. Seawater and warm sea climate also help my skin greatly. So yeah, I was without 30% of my skin, and on the verge of sepsis a few years ago, but now I only have a couple of red spots on my hands as a reminder. I think a proper diet is at least 50% responsible for this improvement and most wrong and right food should be similar for your case, but you still need to test it out. For instance, I try to stay away from eggs, white bread, and dairy products as much as I can. Citrous fruit can cause flare-ups as well, but I still use lemon with tea as a bonus vitamin C source. I miss a lot of food, but when you get your condition under control you can afford some chocolate or pizza here and there. Hope this helps and please don't hesitate if you have any more questions.
