In the UK we have a show called Celebrity SAS who dares wins- Gareth Gates (who won Pop Idol years ago) features in the show. In the show they usually discuss a contestants mental state by asking them to open about their struggles. Gareth discusses his stutter. The last episode is brilliant - he and others are put to the test of their mental strength by being mocked and interrogated by SAS interrogaters. Gareth does stutter quite a bit, but they never think to mock him.
