I use the phone with strangers several times every day for my job. Lots of stuttering and drawn out explanations for why I'm calling etc. But it doesn't impact anything about the job and I get it done anyways. It's something you just have to be exposed to for a long period to get used to. I absolutely hated it early on in my career. I always remember having to create a voicemail for my work phone, and I spent an hour trying to say the simple one sentence that I would call them back without stuttering, and I literally couldn't do it. I've come to value the almighty dollar above all, though. Pay me and I'll make whatever phone call you want. Keep filling the bank account and that's all I care about.
